+++"Welche Blumen für Dein Leben?" / "Es geht alles vorüber. Auch das Vorübergehen?"++++++*“Which flowers for your life?” / Everything passes.
Basalt lava stones from Mayen in the volcanic Eifel, from a quarry. Stones which are hundreds of thousands of years old. Seven stones, for each one of which I have a question. I write these questions on the wall. And I ask these questions as long as I play the stones, balance them with my fingers, my face, my shoulder. To be with the question. The stones are played with sticks made of wood, of metal and of hard rubber. They give off a strong and differing spectrum of overtones when played continuously in tremolo. And here, the ‘one tone’ of the lava stone is played.
